Queenie and her youngsters
...when they first showed up the morning of the 27th. They came back in the evening for more corn, but have been mysteriously absent so far today (Feb 28th). Perhaps trudging around in all that snow has exhausted them.

The Wildlife Barnyard
You'd think they would see the corn in the dish, instead of concentrating on the piles Frank dumped in the snow. The deer ultimately did eat from the dishes, but only two turkeys were brave enough to try.

Turkey Quandry
There is so much snow, this group of turkeys seem a little perplexed by it all.

The gangs all here...
When the turkeys show up (normally 16), the deer (we have 10 does and fawns here regularly) usually go up on the hill and wait until the turkeys leave. Not this morning...they were all pretty hungry.

Queenie and young'un
The deer were having and difficult time getting around this morning.

The tree "bridge" over our pond.
This photo may be the best example of how much more snow we have gotten in this latest event. This tree fell during a wind storm several years ago.

Our Driveway
There is no way we are getting out of here at this point. Fortunately our wonderful neighbors came over with their four wheeler and plowed it later in the day. We have gotten yet another inch of snow since then. The dark patch of snow at the bottom is on the top of a low storage shed beneath the window.

The roof avalanche
I was actually looking out the window when this happened. The photo was taken shortly thereafter. The snow is close to 30" deep on our front deck now.

On bended knee
Prior to this event and since the Adirondack photo taken on the 19th, the ice slipped down some, and now seems fixed in place. There was no snow remaining on the railings before this latest winter onslaught.

Close up of our "snow measurement" device
I use this table for potting plants the rest of the year.

Looking up the hollow
They did say we got about 1 1/2" in the last 24 hours...what do you think?
