Winter here was very mild; December and January felt nearly like spring. Just when we thought it was going to be an easy winter, three storms hit in fairly quick succession. This was the last one. Everything was muted and hushed. Fog shrouded the hill-side farm; the only spot of color that day was the red of the barns.

Gorgeous. Terribly cold looking white out, but great exposure.

We've had 30 degree temp swings in the Lower Peninsula and today, in the UP, we saw ice fishermen out on the lake in 55 degree temperatures. This is way too familiar.

Very nice, Donna. I'm afraid I missed the last snowfall; I was in Sudan (as photographer for a medical mission) -- no snow there, and no major dust storms.
