A Toast to Peeps April 21

Peeps. They're not just for eating anymore.

It is amazing how many packages of Peeps you can buy for $1 AFTER Easter.

Nikon D70
1/80s f/4.5 at 70.0mm full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

:( .. but I sort of like peeps.
For about 2 bites...
Then my tummy hurts. They're not quite as good as the orange circus peanuts.. :D

'I smell a little om-e-lett-o made of peeps'

Apologies to Freddie Mercury, RIP

Are you taking requests as to what these things deserve?

To Be Burnt In Effigy
To Be Crushed Underfoot
To Be Cooked In A Fluffy Omelet (not for any culinary brilliance, mind you. simply for the irony)

I took a funny shot at Easter of our cat sniffing a peep. I thought it was funny cause the peep is like a bird and cats, as you may know, like birds.

'Not very tasty' is an understatement. Peeps are disgusting. I am, oddly, compelled to buy them, though, and generally give them to people who yell at me to stop giving them Peeps because they hate them. I don't care. Peeps are icons .. nasty icons, to be sure .. but icons nonetheless. They deserve to be toasted - among other things, as you will all see. ;-)

The reason for that is peeps are not very tasty.
Cute shot though, lovely colors.
