Getting my nails done is one of the rare truly girly things I do. Today when they asked if I wanted a pedicure, for the first time, I said yes. A pedicure, I discovered, is an amazing thing. Soak in a perfectly warmed tub with jets seated in a massage chair, glass of wine (gratis!) in hand. Massage, pamper, paint and polish. I am still sighing. If I could have gotten someone to wash or brush my hair at the same time, I don't think I would have left the salon .. ever. The strappy sandals came next. The pedicure deserved them.
