Great shot of this flowering cactus. We have a few locations in eastern Ontario where prickly pear cactus grows (Opuntia cespitosa), very rare in this area.
those are certainly attractive blossoms, and well guarded too...similar looking prickly pear varieties can be found over here, mostly in the Southwest, but even two kinds in the interior of BC..
