Cullen's Ironbark

Eucalyptus cullenii
A common ironbark in savanna woodlands on Cape York Peninsula in north Queensland, Australia.

It was named for Sir William Cullen (1855-1935), an academic lawyer and politician. I've no idea why he got credited with it.

Great light on these interesting trees. Are those Cullen's Termite Mounds, too? :-)
