To conclude this gallery and lead on to the next, this was the highlight among so many of our time on the river.
Just seeing them would have been special enough, as there's only an estimated 50 to 200 in all of Borneo; we saw thirteen.
But we were so much more fortunate, watching them at close quarters for an hour as they went about their business - eating, bathing, mud-bathing, play-fighting, socialising - taking little notice of us. That's the subject of the next gallery.
