Nardoo (Marsilea sp)

A plant of shallow pools or drying mud in hot, drier climates, Nardoo is related to ferns.
The spore cases were collected by Aborigines and ground to make flour.

Not sure if these are leaves or flowers - whatever, they make a very pleasing image. Interesting that the spore cases make a flour ! V
