stream bed

best viewed at original size

Though this stream is dry – and probably is so for all but a month or so each year - the presence and size of the River She-oak (Casuarina cunninghamiana) trees tells of permanent moisture beneath the sand.
We camped on its bank for 4 nights while conducting a fauna survey; and a very pleasant camp-site it was.

I would love to have a walk in this beautiful forest. Light, colours and clarity are all very nice. V

That really does look like a very pleasant place to camp close to those shady trees and wide stream bed.
