Chile Atacama Desert

Another moonscape.
This Desert is the driest on earth. Much of the Atacama Desert quite literally has no rainfall, e.g. one weather station is reputed to have recorded absolutely not a drop in 300 years.
Others get a little: the rainfall of the small city of Arica in far northern Chile has been described as "it drizzles once every few years".
