Austral Bugle (Ajuga australis)

The Austral Bugle is a perennial herb in the mint family (Lamiaceae). It is wide-ranging in Australia from semi-desert sand dunes to grassy open forests.

As Terry says, it is remarkable how similar these are to the Ajuga reptans growing here. Of course, ours is a non-native species, from Europe I believe. Beautiful image. V

Amazing how similar the blooms of all members of the ajuga/bugle family be. Looks just like those growing in my North America!
