This beautiful yet fragile plant was growing just at the outer edge of a cave
deep in the forest of Southern Missouri. The moisture from the cave
plus the shade of the big oak and hickory trees gave this plant all it needed
to grow prolifically and happily.
These tiny relatives of the larger, blue and white Rocky Mountain Columbine
are an equal match in beauty.
