I walk the beach.
The only proof of my passing is the signature scrawled by my feet.
And, like the impression I leave with people, it too will be erased; by the unconcerned,
indifferent wind, the incoming and cleansing tide, and the relentless passing of time.
Leaving once again, an unmarred, trackless canvas of sand.

Wrote this as I was walking the beach that morning and saw my footprints being swallowed whole by the waves.
And reminded me how temporary life is. And how short.
