This painting was commissioned by a friend who wanted a reminder
of his experiences on his sailboat: good and not so good.
The vessel can be seen lying at anchor between the palm trees as the sun was setting on the bay in Florida.
I consider this painting more of an expression of the romance of the tropics
and the excitement one can experience, as opposed to just another picture of a boat.
