Thank you to Mark Trembicki for contributing his photos of old Hollywood Sportatorium concert tickets that he still kept all these years. I thought posting images of the ticket stubs would help keep the history of the Sportatorium events alive for my site's viewers, especially those viewers who attended the same concerts but couldn't remember when they occurred. It will also educate younger viewers who don't have a clue as to all the great concert events that the Sportatorium hosted over the years.

Hollywood Sportatorium was located at 16661 West Hollywood Boulevard in Broward County. Today's address would be 17171 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines. It was built by Stephen Calder and Norman Johnson next to the Miami-Hollywood Motorsports Park which opened in 1966. Calder also opened Calder Race Course just south of Broward-Dade County line east of NW 27th Avenue in the early 1970's. Hollywood Sportatorium opened in September 1970, was renovated in 1975, and closed in 1988. The 1975 renovation added seats to bring capacity up from 14,000 to 15,532 seats and added air-conditioning to make the facility more bearable.
