Thank you to Norman Dale Reed for contributing these aerial images of Brown's Airport / Aero Country Club in Kendall taken in 1960. Dale says there was a spot landing competition going on at the time of the photos.

Brown's Airport, also known as the Aero Country Club in the latter years, was located at 25.67 North / 80.31 West, or just south of SW 72nd Avenue and 107th Terrace. It was originally built in the 1942-1943 time frame. It had up to three 2000' grass landing strips at one time.

Development eventually surrounded the airport and most of the new residents objected to the airport being there and the airport was finally sold to a housing developer in the mid 1960's. For more information on Brown's Airport please visit:
