Steve Brasecker was a buddy of mine through our years at Hialeah High School from 1962 to 1965. He was a good guy in my book and I enjoyed the several times that we shared a class together at HHS. We were both members of Hialeah High's Class of 1965 which was the best class ever and probably the largest with almost 1,200 kids in the class.

We lost track of each other after we graduated but I ran into him at Scott Halperin MD's office late one morning in the latter part of 1999. We recognized each other immediately and had a short conversation before Dr. Halperin called me in. He told me that he was living up in Broward county but that he worked in the Doral area. We exchanged business cards and he asked me to call him so we could have lunch together sometime in the near future. Unfortunately he passed away in an auto accident on March 19, 2000, before I called him and I really regret that we never had that lunch together.

My condolences to Steve's family and friends on their great loss. Rest In Peace, Steve, it was an honor to know you back in our fun-filled high school days!
