Vince and his wife Phyllis lived in Hialeah on W. 8th Avenue and they started the Coral Color chain of film processing stores in the 70's. I patronized their main store and processing plant across from the old Pan Am hangars on NW 36th Street in Miami Springs for many years and Vince or Phyllis were usually there. He was seriously injured in a propane tank leak explosion on the back porch of his home and never fully recovered, dying on June 23, 1987 at the age of 66. Phyllis and her daughter Vicky continued to operate the store until Phyllis died and Vicky took over. The business eventually folded in the 90's.
I worked for Vince and Phyllis the summer of 1973 behind the front counter at Coral Color. Phyllis's mother was also on-site. My dad knew Vince, and we all went to Immaculate. I remember Vicky and Michael too. My parents told me what happened to Vince on one of my trips home. It was a shock to hear about the accident at the time.

I worked for Vince and Phyllis for many years; first was at Kim Color Photo Lab (the sister and the owner), but my boss was Phyllis. Working at Kim Color Photo Lab, they choose me to be the 1st printer experimenting with the new 11S Kodak Printer.
Later on when they opened Coral Color I worked for them for many years as a printer and worked doing the enlargements and Jeanne was the checker. After a few years I moved to another state and found out about Vince and Phyllis death throughout Juanita, since I was on vacation at the time and wanted to stop by and says my Hellos to everybody.
They were awesome people and the best bosses I have ever had in my life! They treated their employees like family (and that is very rare...they were exceptional!).
Their parties with the employees no matter what kind they were all UNFORGETABLE, specially on Christmas Time! I wonder sometimes about Vicky and Michael, where and how they are doing?
May the Lord have them in His Glory...they were wonderful people.
