Brian Drake Jeffries and I grew up in the same Palm Springs neighborhood four houses apart at W. 9th Lane and W. 56th Place from 1957 to 1965. We both went to Palm Springs Junior High and Hialeah High School. We were both in the Hialeah High School Class of 1965, the best class ever.

Drake and I hung out with different guys so we were never close friends but we saw each other frequently in the neighborhood, in junior high and senior high and we always said hello to each other and made small talk occasionally.

Drake was born in 1947 and he passed away on November 2, 2012, in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
