C/n 19918/68. We flew first class to LAX on March 30, 1973 on NA #41, departing at 0900 and arriving at LAX at 1110 for a quick weekend. We stayed in the Century Plaza Hotel for two nights and then we flew back first class on NA #42 on April 1st, departing LAX at 1255 and arriving at MIA at 2010.
This was National's first B747 of two that they operated from the latter part of 1970 through 1975/1976 when they were parked and sold to Northwest.
N77772 - c/n 19918/68, ordered from Boeing on 2/6/67, first flight 8/21/70, delivered to NA on 9/8/70, sold to Northwest in 5/76 and operated as N620US for many years and then scrapped.

National was the first airline to bring a B747 to Miami. Eastern didn't bring their leased Pan Am 747 to Miami until January 1971.
National ordered 9 DC10-10's from McDonnell-Douglas on October 1, 1969, 2 DC10-30's on February 1, 1971, 2 DC10-10's and 2 DC10-30's on January 1, 1973.
