FYI ALL:
I am the godson of Steve Catroneo, Zippy was better than Yoo-Hoo because he used real milk not powder thats why you never hand to mix there was no seperation. It was my understanding that Coke owened YooHoo and want to buy out Zippy because they threatened sales of YooHoo. But eventually they made him an offer he couldnt refuse. I remember going into the pantry and seeing all the Coke products. I tasted the first Vanilla coke & New coke.
Love you,
Uncle Steve & Aunt Lucy
Good Bless You!

I loved Zippy. I wasn't as chocolatey as YooHoo which is why I liked it. Ice cold, it was the best. Wish they would bring it back!

Coke may have looked at Zippy as their answer to Yoo Hoo but Yoo Hoo was started by my great Uncle Natalie Oliveri and Zippy was also started by him and his children and later purchased by Coke.

I was friends with the owners son, Frank Catroneo when we were in High School in Hollywood, Florida back in the 60's ... He drove a Chevelle SS with a "CAVOON" front tag ... great guy ... Hey Frank if your still around send me an email!

Zippy was Coca Colas answer to Yoo-Hoo. I remember stocking it in my dad's store in the sixties.
