WHOOPS! Don, I was editing the previous post because the first glance at the picture threw me off, but I accidentally left in the reference to looking Northeast... editing my test as I went back-and-forth to view the picture.

Obviously, this is looking Northwest - and the rest of my commentary is correct and factual.

Don, your comments lead me to believe we are looking Northeast... and the trailer partkon the West side of Biscayne Boulevard and NE 126th Street is now part of the Johnson and Wales University property...

Of course, this precedes the Broad Causeway (1950) and the Keystone Point development (which kept part of the small airport until the late 40's).

The airport was called the North Dade Aviation Station, according to the North Dade Reporter, which was the monthly publication of the North Dade Chamber of Commerce in the 1940's and very early 1950's.

Where the planes are sitting is approximately where a strip shopping center was built around 1955 - and is still there - recently having a brand new cosmetic makeover.
