1950 - Hialeah-Miami Springs Bank on Hialeah Drive

Hialeah, Florida

This well-known local bank was established in 1925. It was originally the Miami Springs Bank when founded. They later added a floor or two to the building and it was the Hialeah-Miami Springs First State Bank for years.

I remember tit as a 2-story building as this was my parent's first bank when we moved to Hialeah in '66. it was located on E. Hialeah Drive between 1st and 2nd Ave, and next door was a McCrory's store, Three Sisters store, etc. Thanks for the memories!

I recall Robert Hesterberg who moved from Cincinnati, OH to Miami about 1950 and became an officer of this bank and served until his retirement. Both he and his wife, Margaret, are now deceased.

I do remember this. A friend's father was a vice president of this bank for many years until he retired.
