I was a waitress at Juniors in the summer between South Broward high school/FSU college 1966. I am glad to read the other comments about enjoying working with the other waitresses & hosts. When I worked there, most of the waitresses had been there for several years. They all took me under their wing and were so good to me. At the end of the summer they took up a collection as a going away to college fund for me. Sometimes the cooks could be tough on waitresses, but everyone looked out for me in those cases. Their in house bakery made assorted small danish that came out on huge trays stacked up on shelves on wheels. The danish were put in baskets complimentary for breakfasts. When we came in early for breakfast shift we were allowed to eat breakfast. I would go into the cooler behind the fountain counter and help myself to the pre-made bowls of chocolate pudding and add the whipped cream at the counter for on top. Plus the small danish were so tempting to pop into your mouth. The tips were good and I enjoyed the customers. Really nice memory.

I worked at Juniors in the 60's as a waitress. Loved the place and do remember my boss Mr Mack and he had a brother at the 30th or 39th st who ran that one. Loved working at the 79th street so much better. Boy seems like a lifetime ago. worked with a gal by the name of Sylvia who was from southern state and there was a floor mgr whose name was Mickey. I think they finally hooked up and got married.

My mother Irene and Aunt Eileen (twins) used work at Maisel's and Juniors around 1961.

I don't remember Juniors but can you imagine a steak dinner with a shrimp cocktail dessert and a drink for $2.59 , heck that what a fountain drink cost these days. As always this is a great site and what I would give to have those days back again.

I remember Juniors Rest. at 79th Street and BIscayne Blvd.. I was one of the hostesses there around 72-73 when I was about 21 or 22 years old, I was also the
relief cashier. There was a sweet blond waitress named Terry who I was friends with,
she was older than me. There was a big real estate development co. across the street in a big high rise. I loved the trout there. It was served with the head and thetail. It was wonderful. In the same shopping center was a J.C. Penney's, Woolworth's and a 3 Sister's Dress Shop. Those were the days. Does any one remember Larry's in Little River. It was across the street from the library on 79tth street, it was also a bus stop for the Coast City Coast Buses. All the drivers would go in for lunch. I would love when my mom had enough money to buy us a hamburger. Larry used to work behind the counter. Those were some of the good ole days!

Juniors was at the NW corner of NW 79th ST and Biscayne Blvd in the early 60s and was also Arthur Maisel's around the same time. I sure do miss those great hot pastrami sandwiches!

Juniors and Rascal House two legends- you can throw in Corkey's (across from McFadden Deaville on Collins-Miami Beach) as well
