1942 - Pan American Field 36th Street Terminal

Pan American Field, Miami, Florida

From the state archives: "The terminal building at the Miami airport - then known as Pan American Field - on 36th Street looked like this in 1942. Later the airport was sold by Pan American World Airways to the Dade County Port Authority and now is operated as the Miami International Airport."

This terminal was torn down in the 60's and the Pan Am Flight Training Academy was built, which still exists in operation training flight crews from all over the world.
