Hello I'm into art and I would love to paint a certain view of west 49th street at night during the 70s Hialeah. Could there be photos of Figaros pizza, Arbys, Jackie Gleasons Fish & Chips, Bowling alley, Pool hall Damon those were my days

Mayor Milander tried to convince my mother to buy property in this area in the late 50's. To bad she didn't take his advice.

Great picture, I grew up on E. 44 st. & 8 ave 1949 to 1977. I tell people of sunday drives on W. 49 st. and Palmetto X-Way in my dad's 1958 Dodge seeing rattle snakes and white belt dairy cows and stopsigns on each side of palmetto to get from west Hialeah to Hialeah Gardens. Don't forget the Pizza Palace our high school hangout.

What great memories. I moved to Hialeah in 1968 at the age of five. Burdines and Westland Mall were already there. As teen-agers, my sister and I would walk from our home on East 4th Avenue and 47th Street to Westland Mall on Saturdays.
