There were a couple boat captains in the 1930s and 40s named Maxon, or Maxson that gave tours on various boats from the Miamarina, touring Miami Beach and possibly the Miami River.

Speaking of the Miami River....Did anyone out there know a yacht captain who was 53 in 1953 when I was born? He had a son and a daughter who was a tiny, beautiful brunette. He was my biological grandfather, and I don't have a name because Florida is a closed adoption state. One day, I'll solve this mystery!!!
