Early 1973 Don Boyd

1973 - United Airlines flight attendants and almost new DC10-10 N1816U

Concourse G, Miami International Airport

They came out to greet us and get some warm sun before we invaded the aircraft to clean the interior on a turnaround flight from the frozen north (either Cleveland or Pittsburgh).

This was during the times of airline regulation and United's only authorized routes at the time were from Chicago-O'Hare, Cleveland, Buffalo, Rochester, Pittsburgh and Atlanta. They put DC-10's on the routes from Cleveland and Pittsburgh due to Miami's winter tourist season and heavier passenger traffic. The DC-10's were almost new in 1973 and beautiful inside and out.

other sizes: small original auto

Thank you for posting your comment to the "yuck" person. I have made his or her comment non-public and I believe he or she was referring to the United uniforms at the time and not the ladies.
