I guess Irene got tired of waiting for my father so she married a nice gent by the name of Jimmy Elgie who became a good friend of the family. They divorced after a number of years and she started dating my father again until he was killed in an auto accident in Osceola County, Florida on September 20, 1975. At some unknown point in time Irene moved from her home on Arcadia Drive in Miramar up to the Ocala National Forest area. She passed away on August 21, 2001, at the age of 80 in Ocklawaha, Florida.
