Karen and I met at the bar 33 years before when she and her girlfriend were leaving after dinner and she saw Bob Zimmerman at the bar with another buddy and me. She and Bob were both teachers at the time at Palm Springs Elementary in North Hialeah and he introduced her and her girlfriend to me and Bob Paget, our other buddy. Karen and I hit it off from the beginning and the group of us then went to a private club on South Dixie Highway that Bob Paget had membership with. I didn't call her for weeks due to being busy and she wrote me off. I called her the night before leaving for a week in New Zealand and we rekindled the spark and we started dating after my return from New Zealand.

We drive down the The Falls to have lunch or dinner at Friday's every year on July 3rd and I'm kind of surprised that Friday's is still there after 33 years and so many changes in tenants at The Falls over the years. We have only missed a couple of years due to being out of town but we always have dinner at another Friday's or Friday's-type restaurant in whatever town we are in.
