2013 - Air Plus Comet B747-212B J2-KCV being scrapped at Opa-locka Executive Airport

Opa-locka Executive Airport, Florida

C/n 21938/436. This Air Plus Commet was the only Boeing 747 that has ever been parked for years at Opa-locka Executive Airport. It reportedly arrived in November 2006 and was parked there for the next 6 years 5 months until it was scrapped. The last time the aircraft taxied under it's own power was several years prior when they did a high speed taxi run down runway 27R which I witnessed and photographed thinking that it was going to take off. They managed to stop in time on the runway and then returned to park for years.

Former registration numbers and operators for this aircraft were: 9V-SQM Singapore, HL7453 Korean, LV-YPC Aerolineas Argentinas, N924PG Pegasus Aviation, EC-IPN Air Comet and N938GA GA Telesis Turbine Technologies.
