2012 CG Exchange System

The Coast Guard Exchange System gets it wrong not only once but twice in addition to Elizabeth City

Nationwide

I posted a correction in the comments under their Facebook posting and the Facebook guru at the Coast Guard Exchange System replied back that they checked with Bob, their manager at the Opa-locka Coast Guard Exchange, and he told them that there were several ways to spell Opa-locka including the way they had it spelled. As I said in my reply to that, to which they did not respond, I'm sorry folks but there is only ONE correct way to spell it because it is the proper name of a city and an airport. Yes, there are other incorrect ways to spell it and the CG Exchange System elected to go that route instead of doing the right thing. No wonder Coasties at the Air Station continue to mistakenly spell it with an upper case "L" in their documents and publications because surely the Exchange System wouldn't make a mistake?
