I fell in love with bricks in the summer of 1974 when the Coast Guard sent me to a two-week training class at their training center in Yorktown, Virginia and we made several visits to Williamsburg which is full of brick streets and sidewalks. Rather than mow such a small backyard I decided to brick most of it and it turned out rather well. We lived in this townhouse until 1976 when we moved to a home in Miami Lakes and we rented out the townhouse for five years to Al and Frankie Pro. We had to sell the townhouse in 1981 and of course the new owner destroyed all the trees in the both the front and backyards including palms that usually escape the wrath of tree-haters. The whole development turned to crap over the years as newer residents destroyed virtually all of the mahoghany shade street trees and the mahoghany backyard trees that were planted for each residence.
