Jeff, you failed to mention her restaurant on the west side of US 441/SR7 just south of Hollywood Boulevard and across the street from the popular Hollywood Fashion Center. It was open in the early and mid '70's as I remember from dining there.

Marcella told me years ago that taking on a young, ambitious partner was her undoing. The addition of a second restaurant on Miami Gardens Drive and the investment into producing the airline food [which was not a long term endeavor] forced her into financial hardship.
She first opened her restaurant in a small venue on the NW corner of 139th Street and West Dixie Hwy. in North Miami in the 1950s, and with her growing reputation and success moved across the street to the SW corner of the intersection. Eventually she expanded into the two adjacent building to the restaurant.
Long after the original restaurant went under, she opened up a new, smaller location on the NE corner of the same intersection but gave it up to try and make a more lucrative location in the Aventura Mall.
This location failed, and , I was told that some time later Marcella (with her health failing) spent her last years living with her daughter somewhere in the Midwest... allegedy a double amputee - although this has not yet been confirmed.

There is a picture of Marcella's Restaurant farther up in the 50's grouping.

Marcella had the best garlic rolls in the world. Even when you ordered a large pizza, you had to get the rolls.
Sorry her restaurant is not displayed, but it was a popular place to go with a date after a movie.
