"Lolita — also known as Tokitae, or Toki — died Aug. 18 after spending 53 years in captivity. Animal rights activists had been fighting for years to have Lolita freed from her tank at the Seaquarium.Oct 17, 2023" Update to this story, because it seems that from the beginning the Seaquarium has been bad news and no one in the city ever did anything to protect these animals.

Seems like he might have wanted out. Lolita is still there some 30 years later. Its really sad.

Hugo was given a female companion named Lolita. Ten years afterwords Hugo became ill and died of a brain aneurysm. He had a history of slamming into tank walls and once, he even broke the glass viewing windows. That was a factor.

i remember hugo, he died sometime in the late 70's. I remember when hugo and lolita would jump out of the water touch the hanging balls and get everyone wet. which was the last act of the show. The Sequarium has changed a lot for the worse. Hurricane Andrew desstoyed the monorail that went around the park. Progress sometimes suck.
