My father Bill Eisnor was born in Miami in 1925, and became a well known realtor. I was born at doctor's hospital in 1963. I attended st Theresa elementary in coral gables and Columbus high school graduating in 1981. I lived on the first hole of the biltmore golf course at 1238 Anastasia Avenue, and we had a vacation house on buttonwood bay in the Florida keys. Despite my privileged upbringing I really have no positive memories of growing up there, although I realize my behavior had a lot to do with it. Miami is a stressful city to live, from the constant hot weather to the traffic. I finally got so fed up I gave up my real estate appraisal business and moved north. By chance I ended up in Colorado springs. It is so much more pleasant to live here and the house I live in would cost 4 times as much in miami. I haven't been back since 2010, and didn't even attend my mother's funeral although my siblings didn't tell me my mother died until 2 weeks after the fact. My father left a multi million dollar trust with my 83 year old.mother in charge. My sister who convinced my father to use Charlie sacher in coral gables to handle the estate, sold off most of the assets, took the money and kicked her out of the biltmore golf course home. I think about growing up there all the time. I really believe there is something about that city that brings out the worst in people. I just am sad that I grew to dislike where I grew up so much.
