Bosque del Apache

Bosque del Apache is a National Wildlife Preserve located on the Rio Grande river about 90 miles south of Albuquerque, NM. In the winter it is home to thousands of Snow Geese and Sandhill Cranes in addition to various other wildlife. The big event is to watch the morning fly-out of over 40,000 geese. They leave all at once and clear the lake in about ten seconds.
