seen on the beach in Bay Head, NJ morning of May 22nd, 2004.
I love to surf fish, and living less than 5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean here in New Jersey, I can fish pretty much every day.
Yesterday morning it was heavy fog, I had my camera but decided to leave it in the car. I could see what looked to be the mast of a boat through the fog south of me, it wasn't until it lifted a bit that I could be sure. Sure enough there was a boat stranded on the Bay Head beach, about a mile or so south of where I was fishing. I took a series of pictures of the rescue. Luckily for the boat, it's a wide open sandy beach, if he'd grounded a mile or so further north, he might have hit one of the stone jetties.....
