Gameplay

In The Precinct we observe the action from an isometric perspective, and at our disposal we have a city with an open structure, through which we can move freely. As a police rookie, we will start most of the services by visiting the police station and participating in a briefing. Then we will set off on the streets of the American city of Averno, patrolling it on foot or at the controls of a police car or helicopter.

The game allows us to taste police life, so we will have to intervene during fights, check parking meters and issue tickets for exceeding the time limit. Fans of daring chases can count on car fights with gangsters, during which we will call for support including additional police cars, roadblocks or spike strips. We will also prevent bank robberies and take part in raids. Thanks to procedural crime generation, Nick Cordell Jr. always has his hands full.

Averno is divided into districts with different characteristics - during police operations we will reach both the slums and the rich streets belonging to the financial class. Thanks to the dynamically changing weather and the day and night cycle, the city will change its appearance many times during the game.

Plot

The year is 1983, the east coast of the United States. Nick Cordell Jr - a fresh graduate of the police academy - begins his service in the city of Averno, where corruption and injustice are rampant. The hero decides to clear the streets of petty criminals and dangerous gangs, while conducting a private investigation into the case of his father killed in the line of duty.
