Mostly these are local birds, and mostly from the Dutton Road area where our good friend Ed Lewandowski encouraged northern feathered visitors to drop in and stay awhile. Also a few pics from Port Huron. Ed told us last year to go to Port Huron, but in the 2009/2010 mild winter the good ducks had all left by the time we went in March last year. But we regularly have gone to Ed's "Dutton Fields" location this year where we picked up the Snow Bunting lifers in December 2010 and this year added the more elusive Lapland Longspurs. And, yes, we finally got the lifer Long-tailed ducks at Port Huron this year! On one visit - with the help from a birder's list young couple with a scope - we also saw the Harlequin Duck on the Canadian side of the river (no pics). Thanks so much guys!
