These big boys are a special treat to tow. First the anchors
have to reeled in, 8 of them, 2 off each corner. Then put it under tow.
It is a very dangerous and exacting job. (Some of the following photos
show the anchor crew working the anchors.) One tiny mess up and
someone can be killed. Only a few captains are ever asked to work
anchor boats. I was selected and did 2 such jobs safely during my career.
Anchor boat captains are like the top guns of the industry.
