The Marfa end of the road to Ruidosa that passes through Pinto Canyon.
This pass served as the route taken in the 1890s to 1920s that serviced the
army camps along the Rio Grande.
During that time bandits raided the local ranches and the army was sent to protect them.
This was the main supply route from Marfa to Ruidosa.
