Safety First!

Wolves pass through this area, so Kailey has to be on the retractable leash.
A number of years ago wolves lured and killed a dog not too far from this spot.

Gorgeous woods/light shot of the tethered Kailey, who seems to be taking it all in stride. One can feel the forest in this fine image.

Very nice capture of Kailey. Sounds a bit scary to walk there but it does look like a nice area. V

Safety first! A great capture
We have a lot of Adders around us, so daily walks with Baillie tend to be in the open

bears are waking up and emerging now too, including mothers with cubs...physical distancing must apply to top predators as well as to nasty viruses...stay safe..

Yikes, I'd feel nervous walking Kailey around there, but she seems to be enjoying herself.

Up north, we had wolves come up to our deck luring our dog - they wouldn't "shoo" away - had to fire a shot in the air to persuade them to leave !! I'm surprised there are wolves on Quadra.
