Physical Distancing

The first place my wife and I lived together was a 15th floor apartment
in the University district in Edmonton. We would see thousands of people
every day. The challenge of maintaining physical distancing when living
and working in urban environments must be very stressful for literally
billions of people around the world.

Quadra Island residents love this place, but now we are even more
appreciative of this environment. I wish that everyone could have
an open space to roam in these trying times. On the other hand,
our medical services could become overwhelmed very quickly if the
disease starts spreading here. The stores and services on the
island have either shut down or established strict physical
distancing protocols.
