The Beachcomber

This was taken just north of Cape Mudge Village on the west shore of Quadra Island.
The birds above Kailey are eagles: two juveniles and two adults.
(The brown-feathered juveniles look bigger than the white-headed adults.
From what I have read, this is because the juveniles' feathers are longer.
They actually weigh less than the adults.)

Best viewed at original size.

Kailey looks full of anticipation for exploring this beach! Good thing the eagles don't have any interest in her or she in them.
