Old Car City is the most famous junkyard in the country, at least for photographers. It is 32 acres sitting in a forest filled with around 4,000 dead cars and trucks and it's only business, at this point, is for people to pay a fee and come in and see and photograph. I've been trying to get there for at least 15 years. It rained quite a bit when I was there, but it was still a worthwhile trip. There are a lot of cars hidden by trees, many covered in moss and lots of other things to photograph. I definitely need to go back because I didn't come close to really covering it.
