For scale, consider that the truck in front is about 2 stories (25 feet) tall. This is inside a giant open pit gold mine. Owned by the Newmont Mining Corporation.

This is great Dan! BV These are huge trucks by looking at whats probably a D12 cat bulldozer pushing rock that big truck has brought in. The slightly smaller truck buzzing by is doing a different job somewhere else in the pit! I we surprised that they had (re)opened a pit like this! I assume it is a cyanide leaching operation that is near the headwaters of the Arkansas River. (But what could go wrong?) Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company was bought by Newmont Mining Corporation in 2015
