Upper Antelope Canyon

Page, AZ

I heard in the last few days, that you can no longer do photography tours there or use tripods, which would make it nearly impossible to get shots like this. Despite how hectic and insane it seemed when we went, I am now especially glad we did.

Wonderful shot Dan. Great exposure and tones. I am not surprised they no longer allow photography tours there. "V"

Sweet! Your vertical comp really powers-up the shot.

PS Thanks for the scoop on the use of tripods Dan. I may be shooting there next year. V

Magnificent image Dan. Anyone know why photo tours/tripods are not welcome?

I love this, the tones and colors fantastic! A great nature shot, or if you let your mind wonder while viewing a spectacular abstract appears.

I am glad there are so many great photos of the slot canyons to view- like this one. Hopefully they will not restrict the use of tripods are carshows ;) VT!

knockout capture all the more impressive made during that whirlwind visit... what a pity the situation has worsened and photography is now a huge challenge....apparently a lot of US national parks are also currently wrestling with huge visitation increases...it would seem that mass tourism is already out of hand..

This is an outstanding shot! The curves and colours are magnificent. Perhaps it is just as well, for the health of such a popular place, that things have changed. Too popular for its own good! VVV
