Carly on the Rocks - Giant's Causeway

Bushmills, Northern Ireland

This is a surprisingly, or maybe not surprisingly, hard shot to get since, needless to say, there are a lot of other people who want to do pictures there too. It helps a little to be there pretty late, in this case about 7pm.

In this case, it's not the early bird who got the prize. Well done.

The rock formations are fascinating and the late hour produced a warm light. all to the good.

This is quite a place to photograph, Dan. I agree with Dennis, having Carly in this shot shows the scale and size of the rock formations. A wonderful place, despite the tourists.VVV!

You did great here. We had to wait for 30 minutes in the morning to have the place without other tourists for a minute or 3

It looks stunning, but I don't know if I could go out there. A very beautifully composed image. V

A lovely composition, and having Carly there adds life and a sense of scale. A real keepsake image! V.

portrait format works well with the vertical thrust of the location...fine light, and Carly provides such a good focal point..
