Ecuador 2013

This gallery will have images principally from the Galapagos Islands and places the Andean rain forests northwest of Quito. The majority of images in this gallery were shot with a rented Nikon D800E with a Nikon AF-S Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR - all hand held. A lot of them, particularly the bird images, represent small crops of the D800E image. I also shot at pretty high ISOs most of the time. Please take those factors and the fact that I am new to this kind of photography into account when viewing these. There will also be images shot by my wife with my D300 and 16-85 Nikkor. This was her first time using something beside a point and shoot. If you see any misidentified birds or animals, please let me know. Enjoy.
